Why these tools

Shape. Proof. Score. Bake.

A great loaf needs four things: a way to mix stiff dough, a way to build tension, a basket to hold the shape while it rises, and a sharp blade to tell it where to open. Our First Loaf Kit covers all four in one box.

  1. Mix: the Danish whisk cuts through dough without clogging.
  2. Shape: a dough scraper divides and builds surface tension.
  3. Proof: the rattan banneton holds the shape overnight.
  4. Score: the lame gives you a clean cut and a tall ear.

Questions, answered

How long does shipping take?

Orders ship by standard tracked shipping from our supplier, and most arrive in 7–14 business days. You'll get tracking by email as soon as your order ships. We don't offer express shipping.

Do I need all of this to bake sourdough?

No. A bowl and an oven will get you a loaf. These tools make it more consistent and easier to shape and score, especially your first ten loaves.

What if something arrives damaged?

Contact us with your order number and a photo within 14 days of delivery. We'll refund you in full or send a free replacement, your choice. You won't need to send anything back.
